🏆 Primera Division, Spain
⚽ CF Sevilla – Osasuna 3-2
🏟️ Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Sevilla, Spain. Capacity: 43.883
The day after my visit to Cadiz I’m back in Sevilla in Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan for the Primera Division game between FC Sevilla and Osasuna. It’s the early game on Sunday at 12:30 so after breakfast I leave the hostel.
As told in my previous post they better win after the disappointing performance and almost elimination in the Europa League against Romanian Cluj. https://morethan90minutes.be/groundhopping-before-corona-sevilla-part-1-cf-sevilla-cfr-cluj/
And they start very well, after 13’ Youssef En-Nesyri scores the 1-0. At the end of the first half the home team doubles the score with a header of Lucas Ocampos on a corner kick.
Sevilla seems comfortable into the game even more so in the beginning of the second half when after a VAR review the goalkeeper of Osasuna was sent off. Osasuna down to 10 but they launched a comeback when scoring a header by Aridane Hernandez after a free kick.
After another VAR review Osuna gets a penalty kick, scored by Torres now it’s 2-2 and it gets very silent in the stadium Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. What an incredible comeback.
But in stoppage time in the last attack of the game Youssef En-Nesyri forced it over the line for the winner. 3-2 Devastating for the visitors who fought so hard for the comeback but the home team gets the win after a spectacular 2nd Half.
